From whitewater adventures to kayaking and canoeing, Tennessee State Parks are great places to gain a new perspective on things - from a boat!

A variety of canoes, kayaks, tandem kayaks, standup paddleboards (SUPs), and pedal boats are available for rent at the parks below. The selection of watercraft varies from park to park. While most rentals include life jackets, feel free to bring your own.

Several parks have ramps and/or canoe and kayak put-ins, including Bledsoe Creek, Henry Horton, Hiwassee/Ocoee, Port Royal, Rock Island, and Seven Islands.

National Safe Boating Week

Boating and paddling are exceptional ways to experience the beauty of Tennessee State Parks. With countless people traversing our waterways each year, safe boating and paddling are more important than ever. That's why each year we join people across the country in their effort to promote boating and paddling safety during National Safe Boating Week. From hands-on Kayak 101 Courses to virtual educational videos, we invite you to learn how you can be a safe and responsible boater.
