National Safe Boating Week
Boating and paddling are exceptional ways to experience the beauty of Tennessee State Parks. With countless people traversing our waterways each year, safe boating and paddling are more important than ever. That's why each year we join people across the country in their effort to promote boating and paddling safety during National Safe Boating Week. From hands-on Kayak 101 Courses to virtual educational videos, we invite you to learn how you can be a safe and responsible boater.
Spirit of America Youth Boating Education Camp
Tennessee State Parks has partnered up with the Spirit of America, "America’s Premier Youth Boating Education Program”, which has been providing a highly unique form of boating education for the past 20 years. This program is now offered at Harrison Bay, Paris Landing, and Tims Ford. During the week-long program participants will first receive their TWRA boating certification, then spend the rest of the week being exposed to sail, power, paddle, personal watercraft, and large vessel disciplines, rules, and practice.
